So when I told the photographer that we would be happiest with candids, this was the experience I was drawing from. Plus, I just like candids better. I love how real they are. She was happy to oblige.
Every once in a while, when we saw the opportunity, we'd try and sit quickly for the family picture. I think a lot of photographers would have been stressed about this. Ours was not. She wasn't flapped at all. We weren't flapped. It was all good. I knew there would be some pearls in there. And I was so right. Daddy and I looked through the pictures and were so amazed. Then we were touched. Then laughing. With every click of the mouse you'd hear, "Awwwww" click, "Bwahaha!" click, "Oh my gosh!" click, "Ha!!" click, "Oh...look at that!" click. She captured Mr. Pants' new found love of giving Plum kisses, and his climbing and jumping skills. She captured Plum taking a nursing break and trying to catch up to her brother who is often running out of frame. She got Plum having a taste of grass and she even got a moment of sensory overload for Mr. Pants. Our normal. But what I kept coming back to were our attempts to get us all in one picture together. Photographs that many people would delete or not show anyone. Those were my favorites.
