So, my friend Elaine over at The Miss-Elaine-ous Life started a link up once a month called Old School Blogging. Naturally, I have always wanted to join. The itch called hard. Thankfully this month, I have organized my self enough that I can do #OSBlog! So here we go!
What is the last thing you watched on TV?
The Walking Dead. Season 4 episode "Alone". This show is doing its best to explode my heart with every episode. But I can't stop. I just can't stop watching.
When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Last night I made the snowy trek to the mailbox. Lame.
What is on the walls of the room you are in?
If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
I would pay off my parent's house, put away college money for my kids and then build us the coolest house that ever happened. It would be something like the world's only house made out of coffee cans or something like that. It would have tunnels and some rooms would have floors made of spring boards like the ones they use in gymnastics. There will be a majestic 20 person hot tub on site that has a disco ball hanging over it. I would also have several guest houses so that my friends would come live there too. Commune style. Like The Village but with more glitter and less puritan clothing.
Tell me something about you that most people don't know.
This is hard. I am a blogger so I tend to barf all my secrets into the internet. Something I don't think has come up yet is my fear of walking on grates or metal doors in the sidewalk. I will weave and bob and leap over, around and away from those things. I have an irrational fear of falling through the sidewalk. There, I said it. It's out there. Feels good.
Who made the last incoming call on your phone?
Brandon just called to say good morning. D'awwww. That sugar.
If you could change something about your home, without worry about expense or mess, what would you do?
I have dreams about a second and third bathroom. There is nothing more horrifying than when four people have to poop at the same time and there is only one bathroom.
What was the last thing you bought?
A new table and chairs from Craigslist that I have fallen in love with and have been inclined to rub it with my hand and tell it that I love it every day.
I am not a fan of dying and factoring in my extremely high injury rate from just doing average and normal things here on Earth, I would have to say "That's insane, you crazy son of a bitch. No way and hell no." or something like that.
If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?
I should choose someone who would give me insight and teach me something wonderful like Barack Obama or the Dalai Lama or the Pope but in the end, if this was really gonna happen, I would probably pick Norman Reedus so that I could just sit there touching his biceps and talking about The Walking Dead for an hour. At the end he would kiss me for real and I'd faint. Wait..what?
Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
Oh Target, you seductress you! I can't quit you!
Is the glass half empty or half full?
Always half full and trying to fill it some more.
What's the farthest-away place you've been?
Mexico. We flew in to Cancun then went inland to Merida for a few days and then ended up at the beautiful Isla Mujeres.
What's under your bed?
Our bed sits on the floor so I imagine that under there is the cleanest patch of carpet in the entire house.
What is your favorite time of the day?
First thing in the morning when all of my dreams for the day are still possible and before I begin procrastinating.
What Inspires You?
I get inspiration form all over the place. If I had to choose one, I'd say music is the biggest source. Listening to my kids sing or hearing a song that takes me back to another place and time is a journey that I love to be on. This particular song is one of my favorites for inspiration. It also makes me ugly cry. Music can pick me up and dust me off. It can devastate me and it can lead me. Music is endless and unlimited. That is so inspiring to me.
