Oh friends, please forgive my lack of blogging. This week will forever be remembered as The Week Before Christmas That I Almost Burned the House Down Because Lysol, Purell and Bleach Weren't Killing the Infestation of Germs Attacking My Family. Or TWBCTOABTHDBLPABWKTIOGAMF for short.

I find it hysterical that on the very day I found out that we were voted to the top of the Top 25 Beautiful Baby Blogs on Skinnyscoop.com BOTH of my beautiful babies turned into germ infested sad, and decidedly un-beautiful, creatures of gloom. Then two days later I joined their ranks and began puking all over the place too. Sweet LAWD!

I mean just the diaper situation alone was enough to break even the most hardened pediatric nurse. Then you add puke and snot and tears and....

****The rest of this post has been deleted because it was going nowhere except for into Helltown. You're welcome. Merry Christmas! ****

Instead I will post a few pictures of the sweetness that happened between diaper explosions, puking parties and straight up bouts of everyone crying at the same time. Including me. Oh my sweet Christmas trees, it's been a war zone here at the Pants Ranch. But in between there were moments of sweetness. They were few but they existed. And here they are.
It's 2 am. I wake to check on her and George is already on the job.

Ever the cool cat. Even when sick.

Plum is not impressed and probably a little pissed that Pants is eating. Yo Gabba Gabba is helping to take the edge off.
Tucked in and enjoying some extra snuggle time with George while also watching Curious George. A double George event.
That five minutes every few hours when they want to do something. So we colored. A lot.
Snuggles. Snuggles. And more snuggles. Between the pukies.
Sickie Pants. Mama's bed makes things better. Notice there are no sheets. That's because we ran out of sheets and couldn't wash them fast enough. Yep. So gross.

So there you have it. I've got to go and set off a germ killing bomb in this house and clean every square inch and I probably won't be back for a few days. So for some great reading this weekend, you should check out the other 24 blogs that made the list over at Skinny Scoop! I'll see you in a few days and hopefully I will be bringing my Christmas cheer along with my healthy and happy family.

Is it just me or do kids always get sick days before all the big stuff?

We went through this a couple of weeks ago. It's really hard when everyone is sick at the same time. It felt like we were all starring in a toxic virus movie. Glad you are recovering and good luck with the clean up!

Wow. Thank you so much for creating a user-friendly acronym for your week before Christmas fun. It will be so much easier to remember when I need to use it. :) I'm so sorry for your puke fest - but I have to tell you that you made me laugh my ass off about it.
Sending you virtual Glade plug ins and bleach. Not together - that may cause an explosion.

OMG! It must have been the infamous "'twas the week before Christmas puke event", happens every year and this year you had a front row seat.
We have so been there and the only comfort I can offer is that it eventually does pass and that it's much better to have it before Christmas than during!
Congratulations on the top spot of the baby blogs - well deserved, mama!
